≡ DEVILS ≡

It's been a long time since my last review. I apologize for my absence, but I've been very busy adjusting to my life as a newlywed. After a few months, I'm ready to climb back in the saddle! Here we go!
This review was brought to you by ROMWE, an alternative fashion webstore based in China. Romwe offers a lot of eclectic, individual designs, as well as some more minimalistic base pieces. I've been shopping with Romwe for nearly two years, and I've never had any sort of issue with their service. In fact, every customer service representative I've had contact with has been a delight to talk with.

Firstly, a little about Romwe's sponsorship program. Based on your traffic, Romwe assigns money vouchers to your account that you can use/save like a gift card. Once you find the items you want, you add them to your cart, and check out as normal. Unlike other stores I've worked with, where you tell a representative what items you want, and hope for the best. I like Romwe's method personally, because I don't feel as pressured or nervous as I would asking for something from another person (i'mr eally not good with people, ok gimme a break) I've explained this because I wanted to eliminate the insecurity some may have of my order getting special treatment because I'm a fashion blogger. Now.

Shall we get to the review?

Items I ordered:

♥ DEVILS Top ♥ ]

From China, my package took around three weeks to arrive. I ordered on September 26th, and received my package on October 16th. My clothes arrived in an undamaged, plastic parcel. Inside was my receipt, and two separate zip-loc bags.

I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the clothing. The shorts were lined well, there were no excess strings or uncut button holes. They're made of a light fabric but the inner lining prevents the color of your skivvies from showing through. The shorts have an elastic waist, and a button/zipper combo. I was initially attracted to this pair because of their minimalist design, and how flexible they could be with all sorts of outfits. I ordered a medium, but I was saddened by how large they were. I overestimated my size, I suppose, because these cute shorts literally fall off of me. :( I think I'll return them for a small! (The medium fits like a US 8) The DEVILS shirt, though, is absolutely perfect. It fits like a dream. (shirt runs true to size) It feels like cotton, and is very soft. It's perfect for cooler autumn days, because the fabric is thick enough to retain some heat. I like how the top looks with just a pair of leggings, but it is quite accommodating with its basic color scheme and design. This is a tee I can wear many different ways.

The shirt's sleeves are printed with "DEVIL #8" on either side, and the front says "DEVILS HAVE NO FANS".  The print is smoothly transferred, without defect.

Shipping took a while, and the shorts ran large, but attention to detail and the items' quality left me with a happy experience. I definitely recommend ROMWE to anyone looking for something unique to add to their closet.

Sweetbox Store Review

Hello, everyone. I was recently contacted by Sweetbox on Storenvy, asking if I'd like to review for them. After going through their wares, I accepted! I chose the Corduroy Suspender Skirt to review, (though I saw many other items I really loved!) It was available in black and wine red. I  believe it's sold out, at the moment, but you can surely contact the store to see if they'll be restocking it.

Shipping was pretty standard, took around two weeks to get to me. The items were packaged in a paper parcel, and tucked neatly into another plastic bag inside. Everything arrived safely.

I was given a tracking number, and all of my questions/inquiries were answered within two days.

I really love this skirt! It's made of a corduroy material, and  it's somewhat stretchy, making it easy to slide over my hips. To my surprise, this skirt has pretty deep pockets, too! I love skirts with pockets. It's really a flexible piece; it can be worn simply, with a button-up blouse, a fancy hat, and some stylish flats (as seen above) for a vintage look, or, throw on a pair of circle shades, a sleeved crop top, and your Doc Marten's to look like you've just slashed the throats of twelve men and are in need of a very strong drink.

My only issue with this skirt were it's straps. They are detachable, which is wonderful, it just adds to the versatility of the piece. The material the suspender straps are made of is fairly cheap. It isn't flexible at all, and if you're taller than 5'9, they'll be too short for you. They also seem like if you add any additional pressure to them, they'll snap or tear. I had the clip in the last little hole, and it was fine, but just as a warning to my taller folk: be wary of the straps being too small.

Overall
★.5/5
I only gave this item a 4 out of 5 because of the straps. I adore this skirt, and I LOVE that I can wear it in so many different ways. As a habitual outfit repeater, it's adaptability will keep me getting too terribly boring. I had a very positive experience with SweetBox Store, and I hope we can collaborate again! Thanks for the opportunity, I hope you all enjoyed this quick review.

Walk with Darkness: Jane Nevermore Review

A Small Introduction To Jane Nevermore
only darkness, nothing more.
Jane Nevermore is an alternative fashion label based in the UK that's focused on making you look tough as hell with an eclectic touch. What's not to like? Inspired by various DIYs used while altering her clothes as a teenager and mixing wild patterns, Jane S. set her sites high, and worked out her own eccentric, outlandish clothing line. Jane Nevermore offers a wide variety of prints and colors in her collections, making her the go-to for lovers of pastel goth/grunge fashions, and edgy streetwear.

From the UK, my parcel took only a week to get to me! I was incredibly impressed at it's arrival time, and how delicately everything was packaged inside. My bracelet was separately wrapped in it's own plastic blag, and both tops were folded neatly, tucked in. She even included some stickers, a nice letter (on adorable stationery) and a business card!

Jane was lovely and incredibly friendly, while maintaining a very professional tone throughout our correspondence. She kept me up to date, let me know an ETA, and gave me a tracking number.

All of the items I received were of exceptional quality. The bracelet is sturdy, and the spikes are securely attached. It's also adjustable! The crop top is made of a stretchable, breathable fabric that doesn't chafe my arms (praise!) It fits perfectly around my shoulders and chest (though I have a rather small bust, I've got broad shoulders). After washing, I found that the Tie-Dye shirt hadn't faded at all, though I do recommend letting both tops hang to dry.

I love the unique print on the Everyday Demons crop top, and again, I love the fabric it's made of. I hope to own the set some day. The versatility of both designs is remarkable. I can pair the crop with a skirt for an edgy, feminine look, or wear it with some frayed denim shorts for a grungier vibe. I chose a Tie-Dye top that was designed with darker hues, so that I had the choice of brightening the outfit with lighter colors, or wearing it with blacks or gray shades to let my top be the centerpiece.

this is my favorite photo. also, ginger was in absolutely every photo i took today.

I absolutely recommend Jane Nevermore to anyone looking for a smooth shopping experience, and high quality, one-of-a-kind clothing. I've left some links below to her Tumblr, and her web-shop. I hope you all enjoyed this review as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thanks again for this opportunity, Jane!
