Sweetbox Store Review

Hello, everyone. I was recently contacted by Sweetbox on Storenvy, asking if I'd like to review for them. After going through their wares, I accepted! I chose the Corduroy Suspender Skirt to review, (though I saw many other items I really loved!) It was available in black and wine red. I  believe it's sold out, at the moment, but you can surely contact the store to see if they'll be restocking it.

Shipping was pretty standard, took around two weeks to get to me. The items were packaged in a paper parcel, and tucked neatly into another plastic bag inside. Everything arrived safely.

I was given a tracking number, and all of my questions/inquiries were answered within two days.

I really love this skirt! It's made of a corduroy material, and  it's somewhat stretchy, making it easy to slide over my hips. To my surprise, this skirt has pretty deep pockets, too! I love skirts with pockets. It's really a flexible piece; it can be worn simply, with a button-up blouse, a fancy hat, and some stylish flats (as seen above) for a vintage look, or, throw on a pair of circle shades, a sleeved crop top, and your Doc Marten's to look like you've just slashed the throats of twelve men and are in need of a very strong drink.

My only issue with this skirt were it's straps. They are detachable, which is wonderful, it just adds to the versatility of the piece. The material the suspender straps are made of is fairly cheap. It isn't flexible at all, and if you're taller than 5'9, they'll be too short for you. They also seem like if you add any additional pressure to them, they'll snap or tear. I had the clip in the last little hole, and it was fine, but just as a warning to my taller folk: be wary of the straps being too small.

I only gave this item a 4 out of 5 because of the straps. I adore this skirt, and I LOVE that I can wear it in so many different ways. As a habitual outfit repeater, it's adaptability will keep me getting too terribly boring. I had a very positive experience with SweetBox Store, and I hope we can collaborate again! Thanks for the opportunity, I hope you all enjoyed this quick review.

Walk with Darkness: Jane Nevermore Review

A Small Introduction To Jane Nevermore
only darkness, nothing more.
Jane Nevermore is an alternative fashion label based in the UK that's focused on making you look tough as hell with an eclectic touch. What's not to like? Inspired by various DIYs used while altering her clothes as a teenager and mixing wild patterns, Jane S. set her sites high, and worked out her own eccentric, outlandish clothing line. Jane Nevermore offers a wide variety of prints and colors in her collections, making her the go-to for lovers of pastel goth/grunge fashions, and edgy streetwear.

From the UK, my parcel took only a week to get to me! I was incredibly impressed at it's arrival time, and how delicately everything was packaged inside. My bracelet was separately wrapped in it's own plastic blag, and both tops were folded neatly, tucked in. She even included some stickers, a nice letter (on adorable stationery) and a business card!

Jane was lovely and incredibly friendly, while maintaining a very professional tone throughout our correspondence. She kept me up to date, let me know an ETA, and gave me a tracking number.

All of the items I received were of exceptional quality. The bracelet is sturdy, and the spikes are securely attached. It's also adjustable! The crop top is made of a stretchable, breathable fabric that doesn't chafe my arms (praise!) It fits perfectly around my shoulders and chest (though I have a rather small bust, I've got broad shoulders). After washing, I found that the Tie-Dye shirt hadn't faded at all, though I do recommend letting both tops hang to dry.

I love the unique print on the Everyday Demons crop top, and again, I love the fabric it's made of. I hope to own the set some day. The versatility of both designs is remarkable. I can pair the crop with a skirt for an edgy, feminine look, or wear it with some frayed denim shorts for a grungier vibe. I chose a Tie-Dye top that was designed with darker hues, so that I had the choice of brightening the outfit with lighter colors, or wearing it with blacks or gray shades to let my top be the centerpiece.

this is my favorite photo. also, ginger was in absolutely every photo i took today.

I absolutely recommend Jane Nevermore to anyone looking for a smooth shopping experience, and high quality, one-of-a-kind clothing. I've left some links below to her Tumblr, and her web-shop. I hope you all enjoyed this review as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thanks again for this opportunity, Jane!

Harley Does Momocon 2014

As some of you may know, I recently attended a convention in Atlanta called Momocon. It was an absolute blast, and I debuted my newest cosplay, Reese from Animal Crossing: Newleaf! I had such a good time, but I stayed pretty homesick throughout the entire event. I just wanted to share a few photos with you all, if you were interested.

The first day, I wandered around in my Reese costume.  I only took a few pictures this day, because I was anxious to get changed into my second costume.

I realized that I don't really handle being "cute" well. I much prefer being sassy, causing mild havoc, and making faces at strangers. So I Harley'd.

After getting dressed, and a cup of subpar coffee, I brought Harley Quinn downstairs. There were so many kind, and excited people! I truly love taking photos with people, and hearing them say "nice costume", or "you're a great Harley", really makes my day.  Here's a look at some of the people I met!

Scandalous photo with my roommate, who made an awesome Kiri-dope. HA
Space Dandy touched me and I amost pee'd myself

of all the items on my bucket list, I never thought a selfie with Wesker would be one of them I'd check off.

PHENOMENAL Bumble Bee and Raven!

One Piece~

He let me touch his boob.

My body language is fucked but I choked the hell outta this guy

This guy and his wife and friends were definitely some of the best/funniest people I've ever met.  LOVE YOU GUYS

Harley loves the little ones, too!

The last photo was one of my favorites. She was so kind, and polite. She told me that going to Momocon was a birthday gift from her grandparents.  She even got the Animaniacs to sign one of her books. Talking with her brightened up my day. She told me she was having a great time, and that she was so grateful to her grandparents for bringing her. Her happiness was absolutely contagious. It was truly a pleasure to meet this cutie!

Then, after talking with an amazing Superman (not pictured), my fiance and I found our way to the DC shoot! Lotsa' amazing costumes here! (I was roastin' in that jumpsuit, though. SHEESH.) Click the pictures for a closer look! Everyone had awesome costumes.

I wish I'd gotten more photos, but here's to hoping I'll actually bring a decent camera next time! I'll close out with some additional pictures we took in the hotel room/some selfies.

That's all for now! Thanks for readin', lookin', or just poppin' in. If you see any more pictures of me, please let me know! I'm vain, and like to see myself. :3 I hope to see you all at Anime Weekend Atlanta this year!
